Designing the right plan is important. Administering the plan accurately is critical. Michigan Pension & Actuarial Services provides the tools needed for a smooth running and compliant retirement program.

We take ownership of your plan’s administration. And we double check you for the things we can’t do; such as reconciling annual deposits to the plan, maintaining accurate census records, and ensuring you deposit your employer contribution and file your plan’s tax return on time.

Annual Administration

Census Reconciliation

We manage the annual administration cycle in conjunction with your chosen recordkeeper. We will track all the census and compensation details to ensure accurate compliance testing at year end.

Tax Filings

We will prepare and file your IRS Form 5500 and all applicable schedules or accompanying forms to ensure your plan remains compliant. We will also prepare and file 1099s when required.

Loans and Distributions

We also assist with distribution, withdrawal and participant loan requests to ensure each is done right and in compliance with appropriate regulations. We have dedicated staff on hand to answer participant's questions.

Plan Audits

In the event of a plan audit, our experts will be at your side providing the necessary plan information, reports and assistance to facilitate a smooth process with the plan auditors
